Welcome to the web page for our Spinoni Italiani (and please note the lack of compulsary music!) We are three-time Spin-ownees and love sharing the breed and our dogs with others. We do not breed Spinoni, please visit our section on Spinoni Breeders to find a breeder.
Zilli was 2 years, 7 months, and 5 days old. RIP, boy.
Stella is 7 years, and 2 days old today.
Enzo is 2 years, 7 months, and 4 days old today.

Joe and Penny at Sagebrush Spinoni are great about answering questions, please visit their website and feel free to contact them if you are considering getting a Spinone.
Stella and Enzo curently call Prattville, Alabama their home.
Spinoni Italiani are a hearty, versatile hunting dog, originally bred in Northern Italy. They have a very thick skin, a wiry harsh coat, (though it is not particularly unpleasant to the touch, don't let that disuade you from considering the breed) and a wonderful personality. They will hunt or hike all day long without complaining. They will also gladly play and hang around inside if given adequate exercise (we make sure our dogs get a least an hour a day of moderate paced walking.) Our dogs have great personalities, Zilli is more rambunctious, Stella is a little more reserved. Zilli loves to explore his surroundings "paws on" while Stella tends to stand back and observe what's going around her.
It always seems to be one of the first questions, so let's work through the pronunciation:
Spinone Italiano (spih-noh-nay eeh-tal-eeh-ah-no) is the name of breed in Italian (singular.)
Spinoni Italiani (spih-noh-nee eeh-tal-eeh-ah-nee) is the name of the breed in Italian (plural.)
Spumoni (spoo-moe-nee) is an Italian ice cream with fruits and nuts.
We frequently just use the anglicized "Italian Spinone" when introducing our dogs rather than delve into a lesson in Italian grammar..
Invariably the second question always seems to be, "Can my kid ride your dog?" Don't ask, the answer is always "No."
